"Sheba"

November 1989 ----- February 11 1999

Boston Bull Terrier

When Dad bought you for me he said that you would protect us.

As I stood there holding this tiny

black ugly thing all I could say was; "Yeah right Dad."

It turned out more than once you protected us from danger

but you wouldn't leave our side

if we were sick or upset.

Somehow you just knew that we needed help.

You were a great pet

although I don't think you ever knew

you weren't human or who owned who.

I have lots of good memories of the best gift I ever got from Dad.

I know that you're playing with Dad and Benji now

and that one day I'll see and hold and hug you again

and feel those wet kisses all over my face.

My biggest regret was that I couldn't save you

when you needed me

and putting you down was the hardest thing I ever had to do,

But in return for all the years of pleasure you gave me

I could make sure that you didn't suffer.

You were a delight as a pet and you stole our hearts.

I'm so glad that I was your mom. I love you

dearly and miss you terribly!

and always will.
