To our dearest Simon,
It has only been 14 hours since we lost you, and I see you every where in the house. You were such a “big” guy, all grey, with a tiny spot of white on your chest, not to mention all of your 20 pounds. I know there will never be another cat that had a little goatee under their chin, like you did. The sweet piece of fur that hung down from your chin, you looked so sweet.
Dinner will be so very hard. You ate supper with us every night and sat on the bench between Kent & Daddy, you were always waiting on a hand out, or something to fall. Even 2 nights before you left us, you managed to get to the kitchen and up on the stool, you sweetheart.
All the rest of the animal gang knows something is wrong and someone is missing. You can just tell they know something just isn’t quite right.
They will all miss you, even crazy Carson who always tried to get you to play. Tess Ann was your sleeping buddy, Phyllis was your bud, and we can’t forget Murphy or Ritter, Ritter wanted to play all the time too. And Maci the dog always got along with you from the day we brought Maci home. It was impossible not to love you.
Now you are in heaven with your very best friend, your Effie Mae. You two were inseparable, always on a chair together,we knew where one of you were, the other was right by you. Usually in the sunroom enjoying the warm sun warming your old bones. Losing you and Effie in such a close time is so hard. Play with Effie in heaven, watch the birdies, and run after butterflies.
You were a one of a kind, and will never leave our hearts!
With all of our love,
Simon |
