Smokey,Tom and Rainey

Smokey and Tom were my most favorite cats.

They were born around the middle of the summer in 1995.

When I moved to the country they began to go outside.

Smokey always stayed close to home while Tom chose to run the

entire neighborhood. Many times I would catch him bothering with the

raccoons in the front tree or wrestling a bird or snake.

Many times Tom would come back injured but I was always able to

fix him up. Once the cats got poisoned because my neighbor had treated

his lawn with chemicals. I thought for sure I'd lose them but I

nursed them back to health. We moved to a trailer park and sure

enough Tom made it well know he was King there.

One day when I was just leaving for work during a bad thunderstorm

I heard a little cry coming from across the way.

I went to investigate and found a soaken wet abandoned 3 wk

old black kitten. I welcomed the cat into my home and named it Rainey.

He,like the others was given the choice to go out whenever they pleased.

One day just before I moved I came home from work and my neighbor

said Rainey was under the house and acting strange.

I looked for everyone and called them but no one came.

Later,one by one they all came home but something was really wrong.

I noticed a bowl of anti-freeze in my driveway. I went and got charcoal but

it was to late for that. I called every vet in town,but had no money.

Why couldn't anyone help me? I swear if I ever find out who did it,

I would let them meet the same fate.

I'll never be the same This devastated me

I loved you guys so much and will never forget you!!!!!!!!

I love you and pray I will see you again.
