Our beloved Socks, even though you were abandoned by previous owners, you found us, we took you in, you moved with me, you became a part of our family.
After your companion Longstreet passed on, you stopped eating and we watched you slowly get weaker. Maybe you were sick but didn’t want us to know until you saw Longstreet sliding away and decided to join him?
I held your head in my hands as you took your last breaths, Mommy and Nana were with you on the speaker. Now you and Longstreet rest together, but I am sure you are both happily playing in cat paradise.
