You have been my best friend for nearly 14 years. I was only a little girl when you first came into my life and now you are so much a part of it that I can’t stand to let you go.
I will remember your beautiful eyes and the way you would snuggle up on my lap as soon as I sat down. I will remember the way that your mouth would fall open when you slept or when you’d forget to pull your tongue back in when you cleaned.
But most of all I will remember the sad look you gave me when you got sick and I knew it wasn’t right to hold on to you anymore. Even though you are gone I will hold you in my heart for a lifetime in a space just for you and I will imagine you in a place where cancer can’t touch you anymore and where you can keep the angels laps warm instead of mine.
