Pretty Star,
Black as the night
the night strangers found you dead
in the middle of the road.
Petted you shed tears gave you a blessing and a name.
Abandoned in life but not in death.
Homeless and unloved in life;
but loved in death.
Many prayers said for this newest angel.
Smile down on us Star from Rainbow bridge-
we'll meet again someday.
