Though I can’t remember the date, I remember the day I first saw you and brought you home. From that time, you’ve entertained and inspired me so much that it feels like I just cannot live without you. I remember every moment I’ve spent with you from seeing you socialize with the other birds and my family to handfeeding you seeds and noodles. I’ve often pitied you and the other birds since I could never really understand what the purpose of your lives was. But from your passing, I’ve realized that life isn’t just about living in comfort and making a name and money for yourself but the purpose of life is to inspire others and win their hearts since memories are immortal, just like you. I don’t have the nerve to see any more birds lying dead some day, so I’m going to give them away at the local pet store. Last night was the last time I was fortunate enough to see all of you together.
I know I’ll not get another chance to see any of you in the future but you’ll always live in my heart. Not even god can break the bond between us. As for you, I know you’ll be in heaven. But if there is a next life, I look forward to being your pet. Goodbye for now, I will never forget you.
