What Sweetie’s Life Has Meant to Us
Unconditional acceptance.
Companionship in times of loneliness.
Companionship in times of transition.
Companionship in times of happiness.
Companionship in times of sorrow.
Companionship in times of illness.
Companionship in times of celebration.
Companionship in times of pain.
Companionship in times of confusion and disappointment.
Comfort in her happy dependence on us.
Comfort in her innocence and simplicity.
A reminder that joy is found in the journey and
not in the destination.
A connection to nature
in an otherwise irrational, unnatural and sometimes ugly environment.
A reminder that God chooses to speak through whispers and not through acts of Omnipotence.
A full life lived:
– At first tentatively, and almost losing it.
– Then with exuberance
– Later by the simple act of just wanting to be,
even at the very end.
A reminder of God’s words:
“Not by might, and Not by Power,
but by my Spirit saith the Lord” &
“Sorrow is better than laughter,
because it makes the heart better.”
A reminder that I need to be grateful to God for your life.
A reminder that my weeping is very tiny compared to the gifts of affection that you gave to us.
Thank you Sweetie for bringing me a bit closer
to the Rivers of Belief.
With Love,
| Sweetie |
