Symba Li Burkholder by Connie Burkholder / Your Mommy

Our beautiful Cocker Spaniel…Symba Li…died at an early age from Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA), an incurable disease. Most likely a gene that was passed to her from her parents.

She was so loving and full of life from the first day Mom, Dad, Crystal, and Brandon brought her home. She LOVED to play football, soccer, take walks, play in the snow or just walk around outside and smell the fresh air. She had a wonderful personality, great with other people, children, and socialized with other dogs. You couldn’t help but to shower her with hugs and kisses. At Christmas, we couldn’t put the presents out too early, cause she would think they were for her and open them. She made every day a joy to wake up!

God must have other plans for our little Symba. I feel in my heart she passed away with this illness to help others be aware and that maybe one day there will be a cure. I vowed to her that I would research and fight this disease.

I thank Symba each day for being so strong and holding on till her sister got home from college, then allowing us to be with her a few more weeks when I know she was so uncomfortable.

I cry everyday and night missing you…wanting to hold you…take care of you…my life is so empty without you. “You Were My Life”.

I love you with all my heart and soul and one day I will be with you and we will cross Rainbow Bridge together…then cry no more…

YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN…

With All My Love,
Symba Li Burkholder
