We didn’t know each other very long, but I hope you felt welcome and safe in my home. You were a lost soul just looking for warmth, comfort, love and a place where you could lay your head. Though I didn’t own you, I loved you like my own, and I hope I satisfied your needs. I tried to save you, but your time had come and it was with a sad heart, I let you go. I shall miss you sitting at the top of the stairs, waiting to be fed before curling up in a corner to sleep. Now all your pain is gone and your little soul has gone on to Rainbow Bridge, to join my other little friends and play in the warm sunshine, waiting for the day when we all meet again.
