Tammy

Spring of 2000 —– Nov. 24 2000

Norwegian Forest Cat

Tammy was an angle that was taken from us all to soon in life.

She blessed us when she came into our care in the spring of 2000

and in her short time she touched everyone who ever met her.

Tammy was full of life and always made us laugh.

She filled a void in our family.

But Tammy also was here on a different reason.

My grandmother suffers from essencal paulsy and Tammy

had become therapeutical to my grandmother.

She also in a weird way became a companion to our other

household pet Tika. Tika is about six years old now and in a

sense is set in her ways now.

And having a kitten come into her territory was not pleasant but

as time passed they began to play in a sense Tammy would

pounce on her and sleep by her but we never noticed the

difference in Tika till after Tammy passed on.

Tika in these past couple of months has changed dramatically

she wasn’t to much of a cuddle cat and wasn’t as playful but

now she has become more friendly than ever seen before

she cuddles up with you at night and sleeps with you under the

covers and also now loves to be picked up and held.

Tika never was like this before. She has also started to act like a

kitten again and play with you.

But another thing that I noticed is that she acts ever so weird

around our outdoor pool. You see unfortunately our pool took

Tammy’s life she was use to the pool but we figure another animal

might have chased her into the pool.

On the night of Tammy’s passing Tika was acting weird and trying

to get my mom to go outside it wasn’t until that my mom went

outside where Tika was trying to take her and only to find our

Tammy in the pool all to late.

But in her short time with us she filled our lives with laughter and joy.

One game she use to always play was to hide underneath the

pillows on our beds and when we were not expecting it she jump

out prance sideways across the bed and pretend to get us.

She also became accustom to a routine. Times when she would

always get up and go to sleep; when I was out late with my

friends or late from work she would lay with Tika on the landing of our

steps by the front door and wait for me to come home and

would not move till I did. And would get impatient if I was home

and not in bed at the time we were suppose to.

Tammy was more than a pet she was a member of our family.

She was more than a kitten she was another child like me

in our house. Tammy was also a loyal companion to everyone in

our house both my grandparents and also to my dad who isn’t one

who likes pets in the house but loved her.

My mom and I adored her and in a weird way so did Tika.

Tammy will be soarly missed by all but we will always have our

memories of her.

Wherever you are Tammy you will always have a special

place in our hearts.
