Tank by Jim and Bobby / Your Daddies, Jim and Bobby

Here’s the story of how our little zany and crazy beagle/basset hound mix named Tank came into our world to bless our lives in the short time that we had him. I had received a call from my brother on 01/06/07. He told me that his next door neighbors were moving and that they were trying to find a home for Tank; who was 1yr. and 2 months old at the time. If they could not find one, they were going to call animal control. There was no way that my partner and I could let this happened. We picked him up the very next day. He was basically living his life in the back of the neighbor’s yard; he was full of ticks when we got him and had never been to the vet. We brought him home to meet his new brother and sister; an AKC beagle named Beamer, and a Blue Heeler mix named Gordi. We cleaned him up and took him to the vet. He became our little clown. He was always running, jumping, playing, and eating.

We’ll miss the way you chewed your snacks, you tilting your head to side to see what we may have next for you, and always wanting attention; you were always an attention hound. We’ll miss every single thing about you Tank. You left us too soon and suddenly on 07/16/11 at the age of 5yrs. and 8 months old. I expected your older brother or sister; both 10 yrs. old to go first. You never wanted for anything. We gave you the best life that we could. We love you so much our little Tankie. I can’t believe that you’re gone. You were taken from us way too soon and suddenly. You made us laugh so much.

Thank you our baby. We will always cherish the great times together. Go run and play Tank. Be happy, joyous, and free.

Tank’s Poem

Look at me I’m Tankie Lee
I am full of energy
I jump around and I act like a clown.
My name is Tank Lee.

We love you and you will always be with us forever
Your Daddies, your brother Beamer, and your sister Gordi

Your Love Will Live On Within Us,
Tank
