Teddie was a special dog. My then three year old son and I met her at pre-school. We took her home, and she felt that it was her special job to take care of the children. No one could go in our yard without her alerting everyone.
We moved three times, and she came happily with us everytime and adjusted very well. Our family loved her very much, and she loved us, too.
We had her for fourteen years, and she was in good health for the first thirteen. Teddie helped me one last time. She welcomed our new puppy, and helped show the new addition how to be a good dog. I think she didn’t want to go until she was sure that I wouldn’t be too lonely.
Taking her to the vet for the last time was one of the hardest things I have ever did, but I knew it was the right thing to do, and the vet agreed. Teddie’s passing marked the end of my children’s childhood. My son doesn’t ever remember being without her until now. Our new puppy is a big help. She’s very sweet, but I still remember all of the walks and good times we had with Teddie. We will always remember you.
Love,
