Thunder came into our life on Nov. 14, 1999 as a baby. We live in the country & someone dumped Him out on the road. He came up to me one morning as I was working on my car in the driveway & took our hearts right away. A sweet, loving pet always ready with a lick. He was a very happy dog, tail always wagging & loved everyone. He never liked riding in cars & prefered being at home. He fit in with our other 2 dogs & 3 cats without a problem. Last Thur. (07-21-11) He was very listless so We took Him to our vet. It turned out He had severe pancreatis & several other major infections.
The vet gave Him shots & medicine, but didn’t hold much hope. By Sat. He couldn’t get up & was crying when touched. By Mon. we knew it was the end. He wouldn’t eat or drink anymore & was breathing hard. Our vet came to the house & said no more could be done & it would be more more merciful to put Him down. After tearful goodbyes it was done. We buried Him under a tree in the back of our property & will always be Home. So sudden & so shocking since He seemed compltely healthy a week ago. He was a very special part of our life & this has left a big gap.
We love you, Thunder.
