FOREVER LOVED

I remember when I first saw Titan.  A precious little 6-8 week old puppy that my sister Christy brought home for Kathryn and Garrett, with a face so cute he would steal your heart.  He was always the center of attention, and “Titan” was a fitting name for him.  I remember when Garrett first started teaching him some tricks.  I told him that he was too young for that, boy was I surprised when he was actually doing it!  He was so little, but he understood everything, he was such a smart dog right from the start.  

He grew up to be the most gentle and loving dog anyone could ever know.  Always so happy and playful.  He was Kathryn and Garrett’s baby, and they spoiled him.  He brought so much love joy, and laughter into their lives.  He always made them laugh and smile, and when sad times came, he kissed away their tears.  He was such a special dog, a treasure that can never be replaced.  

Titan,

You are so loved and missed.  You were such a gentle soul.  We will forever be thankful for the time we had with you.  Although your life was cut short, you did more things, went more places, and had more fun than most dogs do in a full lifetime.  But it still doesn’t seem fair, because we want you here with us.  

When I think of you, I will always picture you walking to the park with your Frisbee in your mouth, and your tail wagging behind you.  I know that was one place you were always excited about going to.  You were the very best and dearest companion, and their very best friend.  For all the love they gave you, you loved them back, and a part of their heart went with you when you left.  

If dog is man’s best friend you have more than played your part, in leaving us with memories, and paw prints in our hearts. 

We will never forget you Titan, and what a special boy you were.  There will always be something that will remind us of you.  Your spirit will always be around us, you’re just living inside our hearts now, and you will live there forever.  We love you Titan, and we will forever miss you.

WHEN TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME

When tomorrow starts without me
And I’m not there to see,
The sun will rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me.

I wish so much you wouldn’t cry
The way you did today
Remembering how I’d lay my head
In your lap that special way.

I know how much you love me
As much as I love you
And each time that you think of me,
I know you’ll miss me too.

I thought about our lives together,
I know you must be sad,
I thought of all the love we shared
And all the fun we had.

Remember how I’d nudge your hand,
And poke you with my nose?
And when you turned the water on
I’d go crazy with the hose.

If I could relive yesterday
Just even for a while,
I’d wag my tail and kiss you,
Just so I could see you smile.

So when tomorrow starts without me,
Don’t think we’re far apart
For every time you think of me,
I’m right there, in your heart.
