I remember the day the Keys starting coming to the vet. I could tell by the way that Mr. Key asked questions about his pets, that they were good people. Finally I got to met Sharon. She too was a very animal loving person! I knew that they would be great clients to have.
Finally, I got to met Toby! We bonded immediately. Him being so loving and all. I would only get to see him on when his yearly visits would come up, until this past August when he became very sick. He was diagnosed with kidney failure. At this time, me & Sharon became close. We kept in contact to keep up with how Toby was doing. It seemed that Toby was responding to his meds, until he got problems with his paw. He had gotten a fungus & eventually had to loose all but one toe. Him being the trooper that he was, over came this and got better.
Sharon would bring him by once a week to visit me when he was doing fine. They called me his girlfriend.
He had many ups & downs until this past month. He jumped off the couch & damaged a disk in his spine. It seems that this was too much for his little body.
I was devastated the day that he came in for injections for his problems. One look at little Toby & I knew that he was ready to leave & be at peace.
He’s now in heaven watching over his mommy!!!!
Sharon, please know that he loves you for taking his pain. You are the best mommy that he could ever have. And he had the best daddy too!!
I know in my heart that he is at peace & will be watching over both of you.
I will miss my little Toby & his cute little face & visits, but just knowing that all his pain is gone will keep me going.
