When we brought home after your mom abandoned you after 3 days of birth, you and your sister brought us untold joy, and a bond that only grew through all the years. Even with the medical problems you had to endure as our ‘young man’, the expenses seemed trivial.
Through the years, your travels with us were rewarding as you loved the car rides, the walks, fishing trips and boating, and the BBQ’s. You worked with your sister as a team to keep critters out of the home and watched over your mommy when I had to leave.
After returning from a business trip and hearing your hair-raising howl of pain, our hearts sunk as we knew something was wrong. After several trips to the vets to find a heart condition, nothing could have prepared us to deal with the decisions we had to make. We prayed that we could keep you calm to extend your time with us. Even drugged as much as you were, you still showed in your eyes the love of life, your eagerness to please and be with us. But we also saw the pain in your eyes when you got excited. It was heartbreaking to have you put down as nothing else could be done to give you additional time with quality.
It took a long time to accept that you are gone, but we still fondly remember you even though it’s been over 2 years. Your sister misses you and has not been
the same since you left.
With all our love,
