On May 31 2002 we lost a noble hero friend and soul mate.
A tribute to Tyler from his vet and friend:
I can not begin to express to you how sad I am over your loss of Tyler. He was one of the sweetest and definitely most loyal dogs I have ever known.
His devotion to you was unmatched. He was loyal to you as a working dog but totally devoted to you as a companion and friend. No child ever had as much love for a parent as he did for you. His love was totally unconditional.
On the other hand how could he not have been so devoted to the two people who loved him so. You treated him with the utmost care and he knew he was truly loved. You did more for him than anyone could have done. Because of your excellent love and care we were all rewarded with him enjoying almost excellent health until the last two weeks of his life. Even then you and he fought a brave battle and he obliged by being a real trooper. He allowed us to prepare for the inevitable in his own Tyler kind of way.
So please know that you did all you could have done for hm. All our choices were made for Tyler. We all chose to suffer in Tyler’s absence so he did not suffer needlessly.
We will all miss our hero
