Whitecap by Katie Sanders / Katie and the family

Whitecap was one and a half when we got him. He was living with a woman that taught with my mom. The woman and her daughter bread French Lops. Poor Whitecap was a dud, he didn’t qualify to be a show-rabbit, so we got him for free.He was with us for a year until one morning in mid-March. My mom saw him lying in the yard. I had let him out the night before because it had been raining the past few days and he needed exercise. He was having so much fun I decided to let him stay. When my dad went outside to get him before my sister and I saw him, the nextdoor neighbors Boston Terrier was snacking on him. He chased the dog away and burried Whitecap next to my other unfortunate pets.
Even though I never really had time for him I really loved him.I want to tell Whitecap that I am sorry for his last miserable months with us. If I could, I would rewind to the time when I got him so I could at least try to let him trust me more.

We miss you Whitecap,
Whitecap
