Just two days ago, I had to say goodbye.
I remember when I adopted you and
you crawled inside my coat-8 weeks old.
You grew so fast, healthy and strong and
caught up with the size of those paws.
You hunted with “the shawn” swimming your heart out to retrieve in the water. You never liked those “piders”.
We never will forget the way your little ears would perk up when you got excited and how you always
rested your head on our laps.
I fondly remember the fun camping and times we went for our walks-your were beautiful with your shiny coat.
I remember the times you would run to me when I got home and said “mama’s home!!”.
You always showed your true tender side around the two children I brought into your life.
We raised you and you raised us.
Your were truly our very best friend.
I cannot ever explain how hurtful that day was 13 years later… when we lost our best buddy.
I held you in my lap until the very end.
Wiskey, I miss you more than words will ever say.
