Zoe by Tromp Family / Alberto Tromp

After a long time we decided to get a new dog. The day we got you was a special day. When you where growing up we knew you where going to be special. We named you Zoe, cause it was the first name that came up. We knew you liked to walk and go to the beach that is why when I got the chance I took you to the beach. And every evening we went for a walk. You where our first dog that was allowed
to sleep inside.

You protected us like a mom. When you got sick it kind of affect us all. The virus you got took all your strength. But even with no strength you wanted to go
on your everyday walk.

The day I received the bad news that you got worst and where not going to survive. I had to make the decision that would change our lives forever. But I remembered the poem on the vets wall. “My friend. When I’m sick or old and
I cannot do my job anymore.

Please don’t let me suffer, but hold me tight in your arms when the vet sent me to the other world. Because in your arms I will feel confident. And don’t worry I will always be with you”. The last look you gave me told me you where ready. And I let you go. This was a hard day for everybody. And you didn’t get to see Kyra, Jana’s baby who came home that day from the hospital. You would have liked her,
she likes animals a lot, too.

There is no one like you,
and there will be no one like you.
