Zoey was my husband and I’s first “baby”. She was so full of life, friendly, loyal and everything you could ever want in a dog. I never expected her to die so young. Zoey was healthy and then one day we woke up and she was dragging her back legs behind her. We took her to the vet immediately and they gave us muscle relaxers and steroids to give her with a guarded prognosis. We really thought she had an excellent chance of getting up again. They said if she did, her quality of life would be normal.
However, that is not what happened for our Zoey. She only got worse and so we had to make the painful decision to put her down. Her quality of life was not the same and we couldn’t see her suffering anymore. We lost a part of our hearts that day. Zoey girl, you will be dearly missed each and everyday…forever. We know you are in Heaven. Just always know how much we love you, dear Zoey.
