I was blessed by your love little friend. You gave me everything you had. I loved your fur wrapped love.
Never have I known another being who was so selfless loving supportive and gentle as you.
Your short stubby legs would bring you to me when I came home quicker than any humans ever managed to do. I could always depend on you accepting me no matter how I looked. I could always depend on you loving me no matter if I was happy or sad. You were a constant light and comfort to me. I miss you still.
But despite my mother telling me animals have no souls I know that you did. Nothing living could hold so much light and not also harbor a spark of the God that created us all.
You are my heart and someday when I lay down this body of clay I know we will again run together and chase the butterflies through the green fields of forever.
