Miss Kitty,
You are my special girl. How such a tiny girl could leave such a huge void in my heart is hard to fathom. I am sorry that I could not save you. I am sorry you suffered; you deserved better. I asked for a sign that would tell me the time had come to let you go. When I looked into your eyes this morning,
I knew it was time.
I would not give back the short time you allowed me to live with you, but I know that your passing has changed me in such a way that I will never be the same. I will miss you beside of me in bed at night. I will miss you greeting me at the door in the evening. I took you for granted, and I am full of regret because of it. You have only been gone a few hours, but it already seems like a lifetime. I would give all that I have to see you just one more time.
I hope you knew that we were there with you today, and I hope you heard your daddy and me tell you we loved you before you left. Even though I know you’re chasing butterflies right now on the Rainbow Bridge, the pain we feel for your loss here is unbearable. You will never be forgotten. We love you, Miss Kitty.
With Love,
