When we lost Ebey, we lost a great friend. She was a true testament to how love can bring out the best in anything – even an abandoned old dog from a kennel. We saved Ebey from a kennel when the breeder no longer wanted her. She had spent her entire life in a small wooden cage and came to us very nervous and unkempt. She had never seen a ball or a treat and stairs were a real issue. We showered her with love and she quickly became one of the greatest dogs we had ever known. She grew quite fond of the TV and would spend hours watching animal planet – even if we were not in the room. I’m not sure we will be able to watch TV again – it just won’t be the same without her there. We miss her dearly. The house is just too empty and quiet without her.
Dear Ebey,
We miss you dearly. You truly broke our hearts when you departed this world. I know you are in a better place – hopefully watching animal planet on a big screen in the sky. Thank you for all the love and affection you gave us. Zion sends his love – he really misses you as well. Its just not the same when he has to run outside by himself.
We will NEVER forget you.
