Brandy by Shelley / All of your family.

My precious little friend,

I feel as though part of me has been taken tonight. We all do. You’ve been hurting for a while now, I know, and you deserved this release but it still hurt us all to let you go.

You’ve been a big part of this family since the both of us were babies. I don’t know life without you here. You were always so energetic and happy, we are all consoling ourselves now within the thought that you have returned to your old self. After coming home, we all sat down and talked of how you used to be. You gave us all a special gift when you left, the gift of our treasured memories which we will hold close to our hearts always.
Such a loving, caring and kind dog. We could have never asked for more from you. Even through your last days you would make the special effort to make a fuss when we came into the room, jumping around and licking our hands despite how much pain it caused you.

You have always been a big part of our family and now that you’re no longer here we are finding it hard to adjust. Your little blanket is next to me now, your food bowl still in it’s place and your bean bag still holds your imprint within it, we can’t bear to change anything for fear of confirming our loss. The loss of a pet, a companion,
a very special member of our family.

It’s just over 5 1/2 hours since your departure. I honestly wish it was easier and not for one second do I regret staying with you through it. It’s still hard to believe that you’re gone but we all imagine you are somewhere nice now, somewhere where you have regained your youth and a new friend who can give you all the love and attention that you deserve. We only wish that we could be the ones holding you now.

Brandy drifted away in my arms, sleeping peacefully (And snoring of course), and with the remaining whispers
of love and goodbye’s.

You were a special friend Brandy, an excellent companion throughout my own life and a much loved and cherished member of our family. Your memory shall live on always within our hearts, never to be forgotten.

R.I.P Brandy, our precious little pup. 25/06/04-6.25 p.m. We all love you and will miss you dearly.
“Look at that little fluffy tail go!

Lots of love, kisses and doggy treats,
Brandy
