My dearest Marley,
Thank you for being my best friend and companion for 12 long years. You’ve been there for me through many trying times, and you watched me grow from an adolescent to a married woman. I’ve loved you since the day I picked you out of the litter. You were the quiet, shy one hiding in the corner. You looked as if you needed someone to love you, and in return, you gave me your love.
You always knew how I was feeling, and you knew just how to make everything OK. You licked my tears away and cuddled me quietly when I was angry. You layed across my neck when we went for a drive, and I tucked you into my housecoat to do my chores. You were always with me, and you still are…in my heart.
I can’t wait to see you in heaven, and I miss you more than you could ever know.
