Barney…Bagel…you were only with us less than one year but it felt as though you were with us all of our lives. The funny tilt of your head, the wagging of your tail..your running to “its time to take your medicine” that I sang so off key to remind you you needed to take your pills.
A day, a week ,a month or a year…never enough time to be with you and your kind and gentle heart. From sharng breakfast with Daisy to naps with Misty you filled every corner of our house with love…unconditionally as you shared your life experiences with the newcomers and guided the oldtimers around the yard..always welcoming..

You did not pass through our lives like others have..you found a permanent secure place to be..where for once in your life you could be just
“Bagel” no need to hunt or chase..but to enjoy life with your friends..
Misty, Jasper, Hairy and Babycakes will keep your spot warm for you on those cold winter nights.
Rest in peace dear friend…you were and are loved and I can promise you…no one will ever abandone you again.
