Princess Tippie Touche’ by Jeff / Jeff, Charlie and your chum, Pookie

Tippie,

I do believe there is a bridge connecting heaven and earth. It’s called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys of lush green grass.

When you left us I know you went to that place. You’re going to find plenty of food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals, like you, are going to be young again. Those who were maimed will be made whole again. You’re going to get to play all day with the others.

There’s going to be one thing missing, Tippie. You are not going to be with that special person who loved you on earth. But there’s going to come a day when you are running and playing and you look up. Your nose is going to twitch! Your ears are going to go up! You’re going to stare and suddenly run from the group!

We will see each other and when we meet again I know my face is going to be kissed again and again and again, and I’m going to look once more in the eyes of my trusted friend.

As we embrace we’ll cross the Rainbow Bridge
together, never to be separated.

Tippie, thanks for letting me take care of you for 18 years. I will miss the camping, swimming, car rides, walks, “talks”, treats, and your unconditional love.

Happy trails til we meet again.
