Scooter by Teresa / Mommy, Haley, Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle, Patches, S

On Mother’s Day of 2003,you found me. It was a cold frigid night. I walked outside with my brother, and then all of a sudden you appeared to me. I took you in the house, and it was like you and I were the best of friends, although we had just met. Haley gave you your name. From that moment on Scooter, you were a part of our family. You bonded with us quickly, and we bonded with you quickly as well. Two and a half years passed, you grew from a cute little kitten to a gorgeous, big 15 pound cat.

Then in Sept. 2005, you began showing me that you were sick. At first, it seemed like you just had a cold. Then the symptoms continued to get worse. We got you to the vet. You hated having to stay there, and I feel bad for leaving you, but know we was just trying to help you.

On Friday Sept. 9th, the vet called and told me that you were profoundly anemic, and that you had feline leukemia, and your condition was grave. I went to the vet and picked you up cause I wanted you to be with your family, and be at home. Once you got home, it seemed like your condition got worse and worse.

On Sunday Sept.11, 2005,at 10:00 am, you took your last breath. Scooter, I do miss you so much, and I think of you all the time. We all miss you. I know our time together was short here on Earth, but one day Scooter,we will have all of eternity together. Our bond and love can’t be broke, not even in death. You were and will always be my best friend, and my son. I know now that you are at peace, no more sickness, no more pain. You are there playing, and having a good time. You do that son, have a good time, we will be together again one day, and then we can go run the fields together. In the time that we are physically apart, I will miss you dearly, all your family misses you too. We all love you very much, and you will never be forgotten. I Love you.

Love Always,
Scooter
