Frankie by Jackie Dupee / Mama

Frankie,

You were the gentlest, most loving Mr. Man. I remember when your daddy and I picked you out…you were the little guy with the crooked tail. I thought, that little dog is special. And you were. A real chow hound, you never met a burrito, bone or Scooby snack that you didn’t like. You were my “Moosie”; big body and no legs. Just huge feet. I remember how you loved to roam the yard and lay in the sun on our deck in Nevada. You were so loving; unconditionally. You would rest your head on my foot or in my lap and look up at me with those soulful brown eyes. You overcame several illnesses in your life but diabetes, arthritis and going blind were too much. I cried and cried but you let me know that it was okay, Mama, you understood when you looked up at me that last time. I cannot bear to go into “your room” but I know that time heals and that your big sister, Ginger, was there to meet you at the Rainbow Bridge where you could again sniff the grass and lay in the sunshine.

I love you Mr. Man and will never forget you.

Your mama.

P.S. Rosie has been looking for you and misses you.

Loving You Forever Mr. Man,
Frankie
