Our beloved dog, Cody, was very smart. Oh, I know all dog lovers say the same about their babies, but Cody was different. He could tell time and he could talk. He couldn’t read a clock, of course, but Cody knew what time my husband was supposed to be home from work and whenever he was late, Cody would greet him at the door. He would howl at hubby and we could plainly hear him saying,
“Where the hell were you?!”
I did NOT teach him to do that… honestly! 🙂
This is just one of many, many things that made Cody a very special dog. There is an emptiness in our hearts and in our home that no other dog could ever fill.
We will miss him dearly.
