It all happened in the middle of the night, he was starving! He climbed up the screen door until I gave him food. This is the story of Chingus, my baby. He only lived for a year, but in that year, he had a good life. What happened was we went for a drive into Port Mcnichol, Chingus was on his harness. Somehow he got off his leash and took off. I desperatly searched for hours on end. I felt so guilty. I almost felt sick.”If I only left him at home, he would be safe”. I said to myself, but luckily people cared enough and helped me look for him.
Finally though at 10:00 we had no choice but to stop looking. So reluctantly, I headed home. That night I cried so hard. I couldn’t cry anymore!!!!!!! Then I got a heartbreaking phone call, somebody found a cat on the side of the road. Apparently he was actually heading home, so I went to go pick him up. He was put into a box. His face, paws and white chest were all stained with blood. I buried him in the back yard, along side with Tuna, my other dead cat. Chingus, if you hear me, I just want to say………………..I’M SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!
With love,
