We got Britt as a puppy. When she was a pup, she did not grow properly. Her back legs were longer then her front legs, but she evened out when she was about six months old. When she was around a year old the hunting members of her family took her to a place called Hunters Creek to have her trained as a bird dog. We ended up taking her there for about 3 sessions. We hunted her till she was about 10 years old, then her hearing went; then she was a loving pet after that for 4 more joyous years. Britt would also howl like a wolf when left alone too long. About 4 months ago Britts health started to reiterate quickly; her back legs started to go bad. She began losing weight, and her mind totally lost it, but she was eating and her bodily functions were good.
Then about a week ago she went down fast; then a couple days later we made a vet appointment to have her put to sleep. On December 2 we took her to the vet. The vet gave her a sedative shot to calm her down. When that took affect the vet put her on a shiny table top, and we said are last goodbyes. He injected her. Then I leaned over her gave her my last kiss goodbye on her head, and cried my eyes out and left her so she could go to heaven.
I hope you enjoyed your stay on earth with us. I hope you are not in anymore pain any more. You will always be in our hearts Britt. Love you very much, have sweet dreams till we meet again.
Rest in peace, Britt.
