Kate and her sister Hera were very healthy guinea pigs, until sometime in early September when Kate began to act differently. She was eating less and not squeaking anymore. Unfortunately we couldn’t take her to the vet. We made sure she was eating and drinking, we even checked to make sure she was pooping and peeing. But on the morning of September 14th, 2009, Jaime went downstairs to feed them and Kate was still. She had passed away at about the early age of 3 1/2 years old. She is and will be missed very dearly. We love you Kate!!
