We Adopted Shep when she was 4 Months from our local shelter. She was part of the family. She had a great energy and would bring joy to everybody. As she started to get older we all worried. Because of the sayin ” big dogs don’t live long”. But She was around 17 years and doing good, but we got a bad snow storm and was very cold. I noticed something wrong with her tail. Unfortantly she got frost bite. So I called the vet, She said to bring her in. Unfortunately I had to make a heart breaking decision. The Vet Said ” She would not make it if they took the tail off”. So We Had To Put Her Down. But I Think she broke the sayin ” bigger dogs don’t live long” She Was in good health all 17 Yrs.
