Nikki Mae, it’s been a year since you crossed the Bridge. I recall the very early morning call from Mom letting me know that you were not doing well. I rushed to be at your side. Even though I knew your time was getting close since your health was declining, I wanted to make sure that we were making the right decision. Making the decision to let you go was unbearably difficult. I hugged you tightly and kissed you goodbye for the last time. Nikki, you were my best friend, my playmate, comedian and lap warmer. Thank you for bringing so much joy in to my life. I miss you my beautiful girl and I will love you forever! There will never be another you! You are often on my mind but always in my heart. Thank you baby for all the unconditional love and the lifetime of memories you gave me. I will always keep you close to me.
