Amador by Cindy / Cindy

Amador,
You were rescued from a abusive situation, taken to a shelter, where wonderful shelter workers worked and gave you physical therapy, and the food you had always had to fight for. They gave you the chance to be adopted, even though you had no social exposure.

Most shelters would have euthanized dogs that were in the condition that you and the 90 others were in. But they didn’t. We adopted you, from that shelter, and gave you life. You gave us so much more than you can ever imagine. You have inspired me to be active in doing rescue placement work at the shelter.

I know, from you, that what a animal appears to be at the shelter is so underestimated, as to their true potential. You learned to trust us, and we learned to understand you. You were a unique breed, with a unique history.

I remember chasing you barefooted in shorts thur the blackberries by the pond the first day you came home. I knew if I lost you then, you would be gone forever. You are gone thru the blackberries and over the Rainbow Bridge now. You are a memory that will live with me forever.
