I Only Wanted You”

They say memories are golden.
Well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories.
I only wanted you.

A million times I needed you.
A million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you.
You never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly.
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place.
No one could ever fill.

If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane
I’d walk the path to Heaven and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.

“The Creation”

When God had made the earth and sky the flowers and the trees He then made all the animals the fish the birds and bees. And when at last He’d finished not one was quite the same. He said “I’ll walk this world of mine and give each one a name.” And so He traveled far and wide and everywhere He went a little creature followed him until it’s strength was spent. When all were named upon the earth and in the sky and sea the little creature said “Dear Lord There’s not one left for me.” Kindly the Father said to him “I’ve left you until the end; I’ve turned my own name back to front and called you dog my friend.”

You shall be loved Aubrey always and not just by me. There are other loved ones who’ve gone from life. They are waiting for you my dear for all eternity. How much fun there is to see save some space up there for me! I love you Chickie. ! I often wonder how your journey across the Bridge went. When I look up to the sky for you I wonder are you looking down for me?
