Bailey by Mary Donaldson / mommy & daddy

When I was single and living alone I needed a friend. I went to the shelter and saw Bailey, who was putting her paw out between the wires in her cage as if to say “pick me” – of course I chose her and was informed that she had been scheduled to be put to sleep that afternoon. I saved her life that day and saved it a few more times through the years when she developed CRF. She lived 5 years beyond what was predicted and my husband John and I loved her dearly. Bailey saw our daughter born during that time and would rub against her as if to welcome her to the family. Bailey was my first “baby” she will truly be missed.

with love and affection,
Bailey
