My Dearest Barney:
You were the best dog I could have ever hoped for and I will miss you all the days of my life. From your licking me first thing in the morning 4,000 times while you held my cheek with your paw like a little hand to the last thing at night when you would fall asleep with your face cuddled in the crook of my neck. No dog will ever replace you in my heart. I hope you are happy in heaven with my family and Skipper and Bonnie as well. I hope you know how much I loved you.
