To our Barney our ‘old bear’
Barney when we saw you at the rescue centre we could not understand how anyone could be so cruel to a gentle old soul your failing health and advancing age was no excuse to dump you in such a callous manner. We were determined you would be coming home with us and home you came. The staff said we would be lucky to get six months but we had almost two years.
The day you came home will stay in our memories. It was as if you knew you belonged with us. We still miss you barking at four o’clock that was dinner time wasn’t it? We hope you and Annie are together strong and healthy dogs once again The love we gave you was repaid tenfold and we only regret we did not know you sooner. You may be gone from our lives but you will always be in our hearts.
