I want to tell you a story about two of the most loving pets. Always there for me. They discovered me. They were strays that intrusted me to take care of them as they took care of me. I left to look at a house for sale on the morning of January 19, 2004–Martin Luther King Day. I returned one hour later to discover that my house had burnt to the ground with my beloved dogs in it. The last thing I did was tell them bye and I would see them shortly. I wish I would have decided to stay home for this would have saved my little pets lives. I truly miss them and think of them every single day. I hang their picture by my front door. I see them when I leave and when I get home every day.
I remember the happiness they instilled in me daily.
I love you guys so much that I still can’t seem to stop the tears. Thank you for finding me and giving me a chance to smile. I love you,
