I am writing this tribute for my five year old son Matthew. Today he lost his best friend. His name was Blackbear Fuzzkins. He was his pet hamster and he meant the world to him. Some may think it’s silly to mourn such a tiny animal but Blackbear was much more than that to us he was very much a part of our family. Not a day went by that Matthew didn’t take him out and give him little kisses and love.
I know Blackbear loved him too he was so gentle and sweet. He liked to rest on Matthew’s shoulder and enjoyed being held. Matthew chose a star in the sky-Blackbear’s star-and he knows that he is looking down on him. Matthew just wanted me to write this to tell Blackbear that he will always love him and to make sure that he is okay up in heaven.
He wants you to have a great time in heaven–he wishes you could come back–but he knows you can’t. He is sorry too. He’s having a hard time living without you. We will always love you and remember you Blackbear……….forever and ever..
