Boomer came into my life as a tiny kitten. My college roommates wanted to get a cat, and so there he was.He became especially close to me when I found one of my roommates abusing him and he moved into my room unless I was supervising him. When my fiance’Chuck and I married, it was understood that of course Boomer was coming along. When our daughter Nicole was born we were concerned about what might happen, but we never considered getting rid of him as we were told by so many to do. He wasn’t sure what this tiny baby was but soon he had “adopted” her as his girl. Whenever she was sad or needed comforting he was there. He adapted and thrived with the addition of our son Patrick , another cat, two dogs, ferrets and even birds!
Yes, we were and are a multi species family. As old age approached we knew that his days might be numbered, but he never lost his dignity. We will always remember and miss him. His love for milk (even though it was not good for him)His love for us, and his valiant spirit. There will never be another quite like him.
With love and great appreciation,
