Life is but a journey
with paths that intertwine
I am forever grateful
that your paths crossed with mine.
Now the path I walk on
I must walk on alone
for God has called you both
to the path that leads to Home.
Through my tears and heartbreak
somehow I still can smile
for though you both have left me
its only for a while.
Someday God will call me
down the path you both did go
then I’ll know the joy and peace
that you both now know.
