Bruce by Amanda , Dave and Suzie / OUR BRUCEY BOY

Hi, my little baby boy,

My brave boy Bruce had lived a hard life before we got him. When he was a puppy are little boy lived in the kennels. Till a man came and picked him up but as all puppies are he was very mischievous and his owner couldn’t handle him. Eventually they put him outside and being a German Shepherd his back legs would eventually go and being outside in the cold made him get arthritis in his back legs.

Soon the man went and put him up to free to good home so a single mother came and got him, but the thing is Bruce had nether been around children before and he didn’t no how to react around them so sometimes he ran away from the children but as all dogs do he eventually snapped and he started to show aggression so they did something that no one should ever do to a dog they locked him in a cabinet and that just turned even more aggressive and he was put up for a good home again and that’s when we went to see him and we loved him so much we took a chance and that was the best chance we had ever took we took him home and we got on great with him.

He loved all the family and all the family loved him to he was great with the kids but we never let the children pull his ears or anything like that. We decided to move house so we did it got to the time were Bruce started to get old and lonely, so we decided to get him a friend with we did her name was Suzie. She was also from the kennels; we took Bruce to see her and they got in great it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship and indeed it was.

They lived together for a long time until the day were they manged to get out the gate and went for a walk by themselves and when we were out looking for them but when we saw Suzie without Bruce we new something was wrong; we put Suzie on the lead and we took her to try and find Bruce, but we were going the wrong way and Suzie was pulling us the other way so we followed her and then we heard the shocking news it was like are hearts were riped into tiny little pieces. We went back home to ring all the vets up to see with one he was in.

We finally found out we drove up there when he saw us are big brave boy tried to stand up but he couldn’t his head was cut open and his leg was badly injured due to one of his nerve endings had gone we didn’t no what to do but we chose the best thing for him so we chose to put him to sleep as we couldn’t amputate his front leg because his back legs were going so we chose to put him to sleep, but we didn’t let him stay there we wanted to take him home so we did we had to show Suzie as she kept on looking for him.

when we showed her him she barked and ran up to him dave placed him on the floor and she sniffed him and walked away. He is now buried in the garden and every nite we go and sit beside him and Suzie keeps bringing him bones; she knows he’s dead, but she will always remember him and so will we.

MY LITTLE BRAVE BOY YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN ARE HEARTS AND MINDS AND YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

LOVE,
