Bruno was given to me as a young energetic dog when I was 13 years old. I had just moved from my home in South Carolina to Germany. It was a very hard move for me as a teen, but, Bruno really made the transition easier.
He moved with me four times while we lived in Germany and he flew to the States with me and moved another three times. He traveled by plane and made many road trips as well. He was just a good friend and was never any trouble. He and I had a very strong bond, and,
we really complimented each other!
He turned fifteen in May of 2003 and I knew he wouldn’t be able to hold on for much longer. He’s been going to the same vet for many years, and, I knew when it was time to say goodbye. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but, I believe it was the best thing for him.
I held his face in my hands and talked to him really close into his ear, telling him how much I loved him and how I was so grateful to have known him, and, how much I was going to miss him. I have his urn at home now, and, I think he’s with me again. If anyone reads this, it’s all I ask….
just for people to remember him.
