Dear Bruno,
Mommy was hopeful that things would get back to normal, but miracles do not always happen.
Someday we will meet again.
Bruno, I love you. I love you, Bruno.
Your silky smooth minky hair, your markings that were swirl like…your beautiful green eyes that would match my fleece.
Your sweet disposition as you walked like an ape over my legs and arms to get to the window.
How everyday when I would be in the bathroom you would push your way in with your paw or your cheek. The sweet way you would bother me by walking on the side of the tub while I would take a bath.
Your pestery way you would stand in front of the computer while I would use it or curl up in the space between the keyboard and my chest.
The sweet way you would curl up on daddy in the chair and look into his eyes, purring at him.
The way you would lay by my leg at night
and keep us both warm.
The way you got excited when we opened the front door and you could be free to roam the porch.
The way you would run whenever there was lunchmeat or dairy…how you loved cottage cheese, yogurt and ice cream, you even enjoyed hummus.
I loved how most days you would be in our window watching the world, but I of course thought you were there to say goodbye to me as I left for work every morning.
Saying goodbye to you is so hard. It was a difficult decision for us as your mom and dad to make to help you transition. We wanted you to be healthy but things don’t always happen the way we want them to. We Love you so much and know you are more comfortable and hoping you will watch over us, Garrett, Wooley and Tabby. You were the BEST cat ever and we will hold you in our hearts, always.
We love you so much,
Bruno |
