We are so very grateful that you came into our lives. Unfortunately, we didn’t have you from your young puppy years. But we were blessed to have gotten you from the Yorkie rescue who had found you roaming the streets alone.
You had been abused and neglected. When we were introduced to you, you were shaved down to your skin in order to rid you from all of the stickers you had roamed through. You were so afraid of humans, you would stand in the corner of the yard, shake and bow your head hoping that no one was looking at you.
The rescue was hoping that we would adopt you, because we also had 2 schnauzers at home. One was a very young puppy. The rescue felt that you would adapt better in a household with other Schnauzers.
It took several years, but eventually you learned how to play and realize you had a tail to wag.
We named you Buddy because we would always be buds (best of friends).
After having to put you to rest today, I look through the house to realize you didn’t even have a favorite toy as you never learned to play with toys. The only thing I found that was truely your favorite was me. You were always right under my feat and at night, you would sleep on the pillow above my head and would always stare at me.
My heart will always have void without you here. But, you will always be loved and be remembered.
I made a promise to you when you came to us, that you would never be alone again. I am having your ashes boxed and will keep them with the other two Schnauzers that we have also departed and when it is time for me to go to heaven your ashes will be put to rest with me and the two of us will reunite again.
We love you and you will always be our Bud Man / Bud Bud..
